The 49-meter Statue of the Great Buddha is located on the mountain between Kata and Chalong. The height of the mountain is 350 meters, so from here you can see the southern and Eastern parts of the island: Rawai, Chalong, Phuket town. The statue has been under construction since 2008 with donations.
